Nicky Sloan is the CEO of the Illawarra Forum Inc, the regional peak organisation for the community services industry in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven. The Illawarra Forum provides a voice, influence and leadership to the more than 300 community service organisations across the region, and Nicky leads a team which is committed to lobbying and advocating for the needs of the community services industry and of disadvantaged communities and individuals.

Nicky has held several positions in the community services industry in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven, as well as numerous voluntary board and community positions. She currently represents the community services industry on a number of advisory panels, boards and consultative bodies.

Nicky’s work history includes community services, local government, marketing, banking and finance; and owning and running small businesses. She holds a degree in Community and Environment, and in Marketing from the University of Wollongong, with a Diploma in Project Management from the University of New England.

Nicky is keen to pursue social justice in regional development, and to ensure that initiatives also support community and social development.
