Round Two of the National Stronger Regions Program
Round Two of NSRF is now open and closes 31 July 2015. Intending applicants are strongly encouraged to contact RDA Illawarra during the preparation of their submission. For Round 2 a sum of $25 million from the pool of $200 million has been quarantined for projects costing $1 million or less to allow a broader reach across Australia’s regions. RDAI will conduct NSRF briefing sessions and grant writing workshops in July for those considering making a funding application. For more information and registration, click here
Heywire 2015 FRRR ABC Youth Innovation Grants
$100,000 is offered to help communities adapt, adopt and act on ideas generated at the 2015 ABC Heywire Youth Summit. Issues include multiculturalism and diversity, pathways to agriculture, alcohol, healthy relationships, mental health, healthy lifestyles, education and family farms. Grants of up to $10,000 will be offered to at least 10 not-for-profit groups in rural, regional and remote communities. Download application at abc.net.au/haywire
Westpac Fellowships for Social Innovation
On 1 June Westpac launched its inaugural Social Change Fellowship, a program for talented and inspirational Australians who have the drive to tackle some of the tough social issues facing the nation. Ten Fellowships of up to $50,000 will be awarded in December. The aim is to give recipients time and space to develop the skills, knowledge and networks they’ll need to bring their idea to life. This may involve travel, work experience, research or building stronger connections that will directly enhance their ability to lead their project.
