Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) 

This program provides funding for infrastructure projects and community investment that will create jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities into the future. Both streams will open on 18 January 2017. The Infrastructure Projects Stream will close at 5pm local time on 28 February 2017 and the Community Investments Stream will close at 5pm local time on 31 March 2017.


The Australian Government has established the Community Development Grants Programme to support needed infrastructure that promotes stable, secure and viable local and regional economies.

Destination NSW – Regional Flagship Events Program: Incubator Event Fund

The Regional Flagship Events Program identifies and supports events in regional NSW that have the potential to act as a ‘cornerstone’ or flagship tourism event for their area by attracting overnight visitation and delivering long-term benefits to the region.


The Government is offering discounts on new energy efficient fridges and TVs so you can replace your old inefficient models. New appliances can cut your energy bills, improve your household and family living costs and help protect our environment.


The Small Business Grant is a key priority of the New South Wales Government. The grant is designed to encourage the nearly 650,000 small businesses in New South Wales that do not pay payroll tax to hire new employees and expand their business.

Sponsorship Grants for Student Science Engagement and International Competitions

Sponsorship Grants for Student Science Engagement and International Competitions is an element of the Inspiring Australia - Science Engagement Programme, that provides grants to organisations to sponsor eligible students to participate in conferences, competitions and other science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related events.

Community Builders 

CommunitybuildersNSW is an interactive online hub for everyone involved in community level social, economic and environmental change.

Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development 

This site hosts the programmes which are funded under the Infrastructure Investment Programme as well as the Grants Programmes for regions. Additional funding assistance is also offered for local roads.

ArtsNSW offer direct funding to artists, organisations and arts workers through their Arts and Cultural Development Program. The program funds everything from multiyear programs and projects to professional development, and across theatre, dance, visual arts and more.

NSW Government - Department of Education and Training

Community Grants Programs work with community organisations to maximise opportunities for people with specific needs through education, training and employment. Information is available on Aboriginal Services Programs, Community Language Schools Program, Links to Learning Program (for socially disadvantaged youth), and Intervention Support Program (for children and students with disabilities).


Each year Sport and Recreation provides millions in government grants to nurture sporting talent, help build sport facilities and develop the industry as a whole.
